Boulevard Hotel

One of my favourite hotel in KL is the Boulevard Hotel at Midvalley City. It can be easily reached by KTM Commuter from KL Sentral (RM1) or taxi (RM12) from KL Sentral.

The hotel is usually less crowded compare to the nearby Cititel Hotel due to its higher room rate (which I think is worth it). Check in was smooth and efficient as I had made my confirmation through its website earlier.

The lobby area is spacious and comfortable. The availability of numerous glass panel here utilize the natural light outside during the day to brighten the lobby area. Taxi is also easily available outside the lobby.

Flutes which is the lobby lounge is located at the lobby concourse. Nice and cozy.

The hotel is adjoined to one of my favourite shopping mall in KL, the Midvalley Megamall. It is linked to the North Court of the mall. This hotel (besides the Cititel Hotel) is ideal for those who plan to shop at Midvalley Megamall and The Gardens Mall for 2-3 days.

Security should not be an issue also as the room key card need to be inserted in the elevator slot to gain access to the room's floor.

The concourse once exiting the elevator

The room in Boulevard Hotel never disappoint me. This is my second stay here and the room remains the same as with my first visit here.

The room rate (Superior Room) on average is about RM215 per night (internet rate). One of the reason why I prefer this hotel than the Cititel Hotel is the spacious room, bigger wardrobe, availability of electronic safe, ironing board and other amenities.

Most of the time I will have problem of getting a good night sleep in hotels I checked in but this is not the case with Boulevard Hotel. The bed and pillows are just suitable for both myself and my wife to have a good night sleep here.

The air conditioner temperature can also be adjusted to set the perfect temperature for the occupants. Most of the hotels also had this temperature control panel but somehow the temperature output remains pretty much the same (either too cold or too warm).

All the rooms at this hotel are decorated with this type of painting

Complimentary coffee and tea. Here, besides the normal tea, the hotel also has green tea available. This is something you don't see very often in any other hotel.

Finally, I have a decent room view (from my previous stay here and Cititel Hotel combined together) overlooking the office buildings at Midvalley City and the main roads. Before this, most of my room view were facing the rear of the hotel with an ugly sight of the giant air conditioner compressors.

The shower room and toilet are another feature I like about the hotel. There is a lot of room to move about. It does not have a bath tub but it is fine with me. Comprehensive toiletry amenities are readily available.

Unfortunately, the internet service in the room is not free.

Another dissatisfaction is no newspaper for us on the day we checked out. I remember they gave us the complimentary newspaper on the day we checked out on our first stay here last year.

The hotel management treats every feedback and complains seriously. The manager had personally e-mailed me regarding my suggestions I left on the feedback form.

The maintenance card is for the visitor to report any defects in the room when they leave the room for the housekeeping department to take appropriate corrective action.

Option to change the bed linen everyday is also available. Just put the green card on the bed to get the bed linen changed when you leave the room.

This 4 star hotel exceed my expectation and I hope to be back here soon. The other hotel in KL which I had a pleasant stay is the Pan Pacific Hotel back in 2004 (now known as Seri Pacific Hotel)
