Sibu Christmas Trees 2012

Today is the last day of 2012 and after sharing all those X'mas decoration in KL, Selangor and Putrajaya, it is timely to showcase the annual X'mas trees at Sibu Town Square.

This year, secondary schools were given to express their creativity and although it is a pale shadow compare to previous years, the students still able to put up a respectable trees, considering the financial constraint faced by the schools.

Most of the materials used are from recyclable items such as plastic bottles. There are even some creative minds which try to use shuttlecocks and files to construct the trees.

The best part is I am able to spend my first Christmas and valuable time with my 6 months ++ son. Without a doubt, the best moment for me in 2012.

X'mas Decoration @ The Curve 2012

Fairy tale is the main theme for the X'mas decoration at The Curve this year with the magical Whimsie Forest as the centre stage.

With an enchanting setting, it set up an ideal backdrop for the fairies of Whimsie Forest to come out to dance, sing and celebrate.

The path leading to the Street Market is also beautifully decorated with lighted trees and wreaths.

A gigantic Christmas tree decorated with colourful trinkets can be spotted between the Street Market and e Curve

Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year!

X'mas Decoration @ 1 Utama 2012

What I always like about 1 Utama's decoration is the management ability to "think outside the box". This is the only place I came across so far this year which do not use Christmas tree as part of their decoration.

They incorporate a lot of fun items such as snowman, cookies, candies, cakes, ice cream and even polar bear in their decoration located at the new wing.

The decoration at the old wing is a mirror image of those in the new wing except a slight variation and a more tone down version.

X'mas Decoration @ Alamanda 2012

After been blogging about the X'mas decoration around the Klang Valley, it is time to showcase the decoration at my "home" for the last 3 years.

This year, Alamanda did a much better job in term of X'mas decoration compare to the previous year. I still remember the decoration was set up very late last year. This year, it is completely a different story as it was already been set up by end of November.

In term of its design, I really like the huge decoration hanging at the main concourse. It somehow amplify the festivity mood in the area where Christian is a minority here.

There is a huge stage been set up with a leather chair at the centre which is surrounded with packed gifts. I reckon that chair is meant for Santa.

This is probably the best X'mas decoration by the management since I came to Putrajaya in 2010.

X'mas Decoration @ The Gardens Mall 2012

The Gardens Mall always came out with a classy decoration when it comes to X'mas decoration and this year is no different.

Shoppers will able to experience a white Christmas where trees made of glass are placed along the Ground Floor with a sparky chandeliers and ornaments hanging above them.

It's worth to have a closer look at its glass Christmas trees as it is made of glass shoes and wine class. It's amazing how they are able to create such a beautiful decoration with those glass materials with the help of lighting effect.

X'mas Decoration @ Midvalley Megamall 2012

This year Midvalley Megamall took a more traditional approach in term of X'mas decoration with "All I want for Christmas" as the main theme.

Its centre Court was transformed into a country like atmosphere where log cabin with what appear to be a setting for the X'mas Eve dinner surrounded by Christmas trees.

Whereas in the North Court, the watermill beside the wooden barn looks like a big hit to the shoppers here.

A Christmas Workshop is set up at the South Court for those who has custom made gifts in mind. A suspension walkway is one of the key feature in term of decoration at this area.

X'mas Decoration @ Berjaya Times Square 2012

Step into Berjaya Times Square this year and shoppers will be greeted with large toy soldiers, which lined up in gantry to a 40 ft X'mas tree.

I really like the concept of having the toy soldiers lining up at the main entrance as it is something new and fresh in term of X'mas decoration.

The large toy soldiers are not the only attraction here. At the Lower Ground concourse area, there is a huge garden with Santa's magical creatures.

These magical creatures are really cute and definitely  will attract the young ones. There are just so much to see over here.

The management really did a fantastic job this year. Finally they are able to get it right and create a fun atmosphere for the occasion.
