Sibu Town Square X'mas Trees 2014

This year, the annual X'mas Trees at Sibu Town Square innovate from what they used to be where a large X'mas tree now sit at the centre and surrounded in a circle by other X'mas trees.

The surrounding X'mas trees were designed by churches, public sector and even a new political party. Unfortunately, their design are not as elaborated compare to the previous years.

It is a beautiful weather today and many locals throng the town square with their children and family to soak into the X'mas atmosphere.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ Fahrenheit 88

It's all about toys when it comes to X'mas deco in Fahrenheit 88 this year with "Toy for Joy" as the theme.

Quite a number of teddy bears can be found incorporated into the X'mas tree and the hot air balloon setting.

If anyone pay attention to details, one will notice that some of the decoration items were reused again from last year.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ IOI City Mall

IOI City Mall has a huge area and the management is able to utilize its advantage in its maiden X'mas decoration this year by setting up a Christmas Town.

The Centre Court is dominated by wooden houses covered with snow and flanked by a pair of giant Christmas trees. It even have a reindeer sleigh and train on either side.

It has almost the same concept as the one I came across at Gateway @ KLIA2, just that this version is at a greater scale.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ Gateway KLIA2

Gateway @ KLIA2 which serves as a shopping complex for the low cost carrier airport. The management here set up a Christmas Valley just in front of the KLIA Transit Station to create some sort of atmosphere to bring out the Christmas spirit for the travelers here.

It is a simple concept of a medieval English town complete with bell, fireplace and Christmas tree.

Well, I guess celebrating Christmas at this airport isn't a bad idea after all should anyone left stranded here on Christmas eve.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ The Gardens Mall

The Gardens Mall adopted a different approach in term for X'mas decoration then its adjacent counterpart. The  whole concourse area has been transformed into Santa's Enchanted Garden Photo Set.

A few numbers of mannequins had been set in such as if they were taking shots in a photo set surrounded with flowers and X'mas trees arrangement.

At certain intervals, a pair of model will appear to give shoppers opportunity to snap photos with them with the X'mas tree as the background.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ Midvalley Megamall

Walking into Midvalley at this time of year is like entering mystical land filled bigger than life mushrooms, butterflies, brightly coloured flowers, gazebos and Christmas trees decked with baubles.

Themed Christmas Fairy Tails, it tells a story of four Fairy Tails of Christmas. The Fairy Tails work with Santa Clause to bring the season with joy, love and happiness.

Without a doubt, this kind of setting will be a big hit for the kids with many photo taking opportunities with the Fairy Tails and the surrounding greenery surrounding.

Johnny Rockets @ KLIA2

If one would like to dine in a classic American restaurant atmosphere, just head to the Johnny Rockets outlet. The theme here is the diner style restaurant which was a common sight in the 1950s. There is an outlet at the Departure hall of KLIA2 to grab a quick bite before boarding the air craft.

Most of the deco here includes Coca-Cola ads featuring women from the WWII era, jukebox station and and red vinyl seats.

The Original Beef Burger (RM 14.90) is where it all started in 1986 for this outlet. Serve with iceberg lettuce, tomato, chopped onions, relish, pickle, mustard and mayonnaise. The burger size is pretty huge, much bigger than the McD Big Mac or Burger King's Whopper Burger.

One can add RM3 for the fries. The people here serve the ketchup with a smiley face.

Johnny Rocket is also famous for its thick and creamy shake (RM 13.90) which is hand spun with the finest vanilla ice cream. The vanilla shake arrives after the burger has been served which reflect the amount of time and effort to prepare one.

Lorong Jelutong Hokkien Mee

Some people would say that the some of the tastiest food is usually found off the beaten path and that was what I discover in my recent visit to Penang. I was brought to this terrace house in the middle of a residential area at Lorong Jelutong which also double as a hawker stall which specialize in Hokkien Mee.

The place is rather small with only 4 tables to accommodate the never ending crowd. I was amazed with the crowd as they just came none stop and I was told that the noodle will be sold out by 10.30am. This stall only opens from Monday to Thursday.

Penang Hokkien Mee is where the rice vermicelli and yellow noodle are served in a spicy soup made from prawn, dried shrimp and pork ribs.It is garnished with sliced boiled eggs, bean sprouts, vegetables, prawns and chilli paste. The price of a bowl of Hokkien Mee here ranges from RM3.80 to 9, depending on the extra ingredients customers had requested to add in such as spare ribs, prawn and etc.

The Hokkien Mee here is not too hot and most patrons will slurp down its sweet and aromatic soup. This is the first time I try Penang Hokkien Mee and it already leaves me with a strong impression.

X'mas Deco 2014 @ nu Sentral Mall

nu Sentral Mall kicked off its maiden X'mas decoration with a cheerful atmosphere. The main concourse is filled with giant X'mas trees, snow globe and trinkets.

I reckon the management did a decent job on their first attempt. I am sure it will be a big hit for the children who will be passing through here from the adjacent KL Sentral during the school holiday

RSL Supreme

RSL has always been my choice when it comes to shuttlecock and I decided to try its premium shuttlecock to date, the RSL Supreme.

It is currently priced at RM 63.80 per tube which is pretty expensive compare to my normal No.1 which is priced at RM 52.

I never knew what RSL stands for until I got hold of RSL Supreme as it was indicated on the packaging as Reinforced Shuttlecocks Limited.

RSL Supreme uses premium raw feathers specially sourced for its strength and colour. Only the best of the best will be selected to be incorporated into the shuttlecock.

Its durability amazes me as none of the feathers was detached after a full 2 matches in the 21 points system. The only time it needs replacement is when it lose a little bit of its shape which pretty much affects its flight.

The shuttlecock is nice to play with a decent flight performance. Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best shuttlecock I had played so far.

RSL Supreme might be expensive but it can goes the distance which translates to more saving in the long run.
