Blueberry European Cheese Cake from RT Pastry House

Last week a friend of mine brought me to RT Pastry House in Subang Jaya. He reckons the cheese cake sold here is good.

I was recommended to try the Blueberry European Cheese Cake (RM 14.90). I doubt the cheese which made this cake actually came all the way from Europe though.

The cheese has blueberry spot on them. It kind of add some sweetness to this cake. The cake must be kept refrigerated when not consumed.

Here is the cross sectional view of the cake. It has a thick cheese layer and taste pretty good too. The cheese used is rich and one can savor it while the cheese melt inside the mouth. Maybe the cheese was actually from Europe after all.

Hotel Sun Inns Puchong

Hotel Sun Inns is a relatively new hotel brand but they are a fast growing chain by positioning their hotels strategically nearby shopping malls and tourist attractions.

Hotel Sun Inns Puchong is another new hotel, located at One Puchong Business Centre along the LDP Highway.

The hotel is not far from IOI Mall which is about 10 minutes walk. Other Puchong commercial areas are also within walking distance.

The hotel lobby is clean and spacious. Security of the guests staying here is assured as one will need to scan the key cards to have access to the elevators.

The corridor leading to the room is quite warm and not air conditioned. It is kind of narrow for my liking.

The room is quite small if one is sharing. There are hardly any space to walk or to store the luggage. The room is decently clean and comfortable. I manage to sleep soundly alone here during my 5 days stay here.

The facilities here are pretty standard. With room rate at RM90 per night, I would say it is a good deal. Water dispenser machine is available on each floor. It is pretty much hidden from view and guests will need to look for it carefully.

Breakfast is provided and can be claimed at the restaurant just next to it. Nothing fancy here. Just a selection of half boiled egg, roti canai, toast bread or fried noodles.

TV3 Jom Heboh @ Putrajaya

TV3 Jom Heboh carnival has been around for some time now and Putrajaya hosted the event last week.

This is the first time I visited the carnival after watching it on my television for years. Finally, I had the chance to soak into the atmosphere. The event was held at Precint 2 and coincide with the National Youth Day Carnival which also held at the same venue.

It appears that Hotlink was the main sponsor for the event based on their brand been displayed conspicuously at the site.

I was here in the afternoon and it was bloody hot where the public were scrambling for shades under the trees and etc. The heat wave however did not dampen their spirit to throng the site.

There was a workshop for the ladies on how to groom themselves especially on the wedding day.

A few live shows were held here such as the "Melodi" programme which was shot live here.

The main stage where there was a concert at night which usually a crowd puller.

The carnival also gave a chance to the public to have their photos taken as they are actually a news readers and performers for the TV shows.

Souvenirs were also on sale here. This is probably once in my lifetime chance to come to this carnival although they had this sort carnival several times in a year at different locations around Malaysia

National Youth Day 2010 @ Putrajaya

Last week, from 14-16th May was the National Youth Day. This time the official venue is at Precinct 2 in Putrajaya.

However, there were a few activities lined up in Putra Square even though the main event was at Precinct 2

There are some stalls selling fruits and other product. People still throng this place even though it was sweltering hot in the afternoon.

For those who are inspired to be Robin Hood, archery lesson is available too at minimal fee.

There are free tram service which commute the people from Putra Square to the main venue at Precinct 2

Pretty much the whole stretch of the boulevard in Precinct 2 was filled with tents. No vehicles were allowed here except the trams. This made the venue extremely pedestrian friendly

Painting and drawing on the canvas

Beautiful artwork using paint spray which depicts Datuk Lee Chong Wei and our national cyclist

More artwork at the carnival

Other exhibition at the carnival which includes a cross sectional view on a car engine

These balloon sellers were having a brisk business here as many children were attracted to them.

A lot of sales and promotion at the carnival. Overall, it was a successful event judging by the number of people who came here.
