I notice the cruise ship for the inaugural Rejang River cruise in July 2009, the RV Orient Pandaw is now in Sibu since early May.
RV Orient Pandaw is currently berthed at the jetty along Jalan Khoo Peng Loong. I guess this will also be the embarkation point for the tourists who had purchased the ticket for the cruise.
Surprisingly, the ship is a Cambodian flag ship with its port of registry in Phnom Penh
Closer inspection on its accommodation spaces and open deck area. The accommodation spaces are mainly made of wood. This colonial style ship should blend well with the river and its surrounding
Renovation work still in progress. I was rather surprise to see some repair work (welding) also took place. I would had expect the ship to be in pristine condition and ready to sail off anytime.
The cruise ship is also recruiting locals to man the ship. It is obvious the ship is not manned by any crew at all for the time being.

Rojak ship registered in Vietnam. Can this ship go out Kapit river and to Belaga rapid area? I wonder! They fair is definitely too expensive for that type of ship and service. 2-3 thousands of U.S dollar for the 9 days trip? I rather go for Star Cruises. I think only "Ang Mo" will get cheat by this.
The ship looks pretty big! It'll look grand when it's completed. :)
Interesting! I wonder how successful this cruise ship will be. I don't mind going on a cruise on this ship but will have to see how much they charge.
who wont like to try that?! any photos inside?
is it open for visit? i'd love to visit and see what they have inside the ship. must be interesting, but rajang river, what to see? :P
I don't dare to go inside as there is a notice that forbid outsider to enter. Police marine boat is also seen berthing next to this ship. Anyway, everything is still a mess inside this boat
i like to see the ships on the sea moving !! that is what i always do in sabah !! the feeling is very nice !!
wow looks awesome! =D
wah! the charges is expensive leh if what Superman said is true.
It's great to travel on the magnificent rejang river!!
Hmmm, it's good to have river cruises actually as cruises are rare in Malaysia. But seems like this ship is not fully ready to sail so let's see how things go first before making any judgement.
I can only say the outlook of the ship disappointing me a lot!
