Year End Wedding Dinner

Tonight my childhood friend, Thomas Teo held a wedding dinner at Mingziang Court at Kingwood Hotel. He is married to Connie Wong.

Here are the overview of the Mingziang Court and its main stage

This are the members at my table. Mostly are my schoolmates from primary and secondary school with our wives

Good thing was Tiger beer was served cold to us. Not many wedding dinner I attend now serve beer so I'm very happy to see beer was served here.

The first dish was what we called the "cold dish"

Then the shark fin soup follows. Nowadays most of the restaurant here serve imitation shark fin soup.

Duck with rice dumpling inside

Steamed fish

Halfway to the dinner, the MC, Teck Sung invited the bride and groom to come on to the stage to open the "sparkling juice" and pour it onto the tier of glasses.

After that, roasted chicken was served in 2 flavour.

Broccoli and Chinese mushroom

Prawn with almond nut

Last dish was the dessert. I have no idea what it was. Strangely, no fruits was served for dessert.

Number 8 is always a lucky number for the Chinese and one will notice there are always 8 dishes served during the wedding dinner or banquet.

Congratulation to Thomas and Connie!

Wedding Banquet @ Kuching

After the banquet in Sibu last year, I also had to held another banquet in Kuching (2 days after my banquet in Sibu) as most of my uncles are staying in Kuching.

We were staying at Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites. I took the 3 bedroom apartment to accommodate my whole family members. It consists of 2 king size beds and a single bed with 2 toilet facilities. There is a kitchen, dining area and spacious living room. I really enjoy my stay here.

The room I am staying also offer a spectacular view of the surrounding area of Kuching. One can see Padang Merdeka, Yayasan Sarawak building, Sarawak Museum and Divisional Mosque. Sarawak River also can be seen from here.

My dinner banquet was held at Lok Thian Restaurant. Here are some of the shots with my relatives and family members

Also with my Kuching Office Branch staffs. Many of them did not make it

Again, it was a good night and we enjoy ourselves yet again

My Wedding Photo Album

I going to share some of my wedding photo album here in conjunction with my 1st year wedding anniversary.

Our wedding album was shot by Jacky Studio at Kuching. Jacky is a great photographer. Some might fear him (he is well known to have bad temper) or labeling him as a weirdo. I would say he is a perfectionist. However, he is quite an easy guy to work with if one had the right mindset and attitude.

The photo shoot was fun and we enjoyed ourselves that day. The photo shoot start around 1000 until 1800. For outdoor shooting, we had to travel to Pasir Pandak for the beach. I remember it was a hot sunny day as well. The most tiring part about photo shoot are the posing, changing gown and the smiles (no fake smile as Jacky the photographer will be mad)!

For those who will take wedding shot in the future, just be confident and have high self esteem in yourself and the photos will come out just nice :) That is the secret and philosophy of Jacky Studio
