Malaysia China Friendship Garden @ Kuching

Malaysia China Friendship Garden in Kuching is built to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. The park is tastefully designed in the styles of both Malaysia and China. The garden is situated at Jalan Song, a few kilometers away from Kuching town

At the main entrance on Jalan Song, an archway greet the visitors

A futuristic Sarawak fountain, comprising seven pillars, arranged in a circle. The pillars features granite carvings of seven major ethnic groups in Sarawak; Iban, Melanau, Chinese, Orang Ulu, Penan, Bidayuh and Malay.

Towering over the park is hard to miss giant statue of Admiral Zheng Ho which stands on the ship like platform. I believe this famous Chinese Admiral never step his foot on the Borneo Island before from what I read from the history lesson.

A tea house and a man made pond. There is a zig zag bridge and a koi pond beside this tea house.

Another arch at the entrance near the tea house

There is a lot more interesting structures at this garden which I am unable to share as I did not manage to capture more photos in my visit here last year. I intend to visit this garden again in the future and get more detailed photos to share here.
