GI Joe will be showing in the cinema this month and I remember I had one of the toy when I was a kid. Duke is one of the characters I look up upon when the cartoon series were aired in the 1980s.
The price tag for this toy is still intact. It was either RM or SGD 12 as I can't recall where I purchased it. It was manufactured by Hasbro and their logo was very different back then.
Various characters in the GI Joe cartoon series can be found at the back of the packaging. Some of them will make an appearance in the upcoming movie such as Duke, Flint, Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander.
Duke profile can also be found at the back of the packaging. Duke is actually just a codename and the real name of this decorated hero is Conrad S. Hauser. He is actually destined to be the head of the GI Joe team but opt to be second in command so he can get close to where the actions are as he feels that his combat experience is needed there.
The accessories which come with Duke are rifle, binocular, backpack and helmet (I lost the helmet).
Just like most of the other toys I possessed, this one is still intact and pose able. There will be definitely a new Duke toy after the movie but the one I have here will always be the original one.
