Ferry Kebab

The best kebab in Sibu is probably a stall called Ferry Kebab, It is situated at Kampung Nangka Road, not far away from Simpang Tiga Roundabout

Ferry Kebab name is probably derived from a ferry terminal which is just a stone throw from the stall. The ferry here connects the pedestrian and motorcyclist across Igan River to Sungai Bidut.

Apparently, the owner of the stall just live next to this ferry terminal. The stall is pushed back to their house when it is closed.

The price for a piece of kebab is RM2.50 (It used to cost RM2). Do not let this signboard confuse you. There is only one type of meat available, which is the beef. The stall starts selling from 4pm onward until all are sold off, usually late at night.

The owner skillfully slice off the meat off the rotating spit. Then, the meat is mixed with cucumber, onion and cabbage. The mixture is then stuffed in a long bun and top up with chili sauce and mayonnaise.

This is how it is packaged. It looks pretty messy when opened up.

Ferry Kebab is still the best in town. The texture and the taste of the meat are the qualities that differentiate it from the rest of the kebab sellers here.

Benghui and I love the kebabs

We buy from them on a regular basis. Opposite the stall there is a new food court ( abt 4 months open ). You can blog about it too. Not bad n the prices r reasonable too.
