Carlsberg, Heineken & Tiger Beer

Among the most common beers can be found here in my hometown are Carlsberg, Heineken and Tiger beer. Widely available in coffee shops and pubs even though mostly are imitation. I don't really like the imitation. It just don't have that distinctive taste a beer should had.

All of these beers had the same price tag in the supermarket (RM6.50 for 325ml) although some places sold Heineken at RM6.70 and Tiger Beer at RM6.20. Another similarity of these beers are all of them have 5% alcohol content.

Heineken and Tiger beer apparently are brewed at the same place in Malaysia, the Guinness Anchor Berhad in Petaling Jaya. Carlsberg on the other hand has its own brewery in Malaysia.

It is published in the newspaper recently that the price of these beers will go up by the end of this month. Wonder what is the new price tag (I reckon RM7.20).

Out of these beers, Carlsberg is my preference.

I think Carlsberg is preferred by a great majority of drinkers all over Malaysia.

Strangely, Tiger and Heineken seems to be the preferred brand here in my hometown.

Another beer which I had not taste for a long time is Anchor beer, which is kind of rare here even though it is brewed here in Malaysia

Hope the price will not go up. If not, other drinks will try to lift the price also. think they will not rise price in this kind of gloomy economy. they should slash price instead.
