Buffet at Paramount Hotel

Recently, we had a dinner buffet at Paramount Hotel, Sibu. This is my first time having dinner buffet at this hotel. It costs RM18 for an adult, available from 6.30pm to 9pm (Saturday and Sunday only) at Valentine's Cafe, ground floor of the hotel

I was indeed surprised with the choices of food served here. This surely exceed my expectation.

Here was the food I took; mushroom soup, cendol, fried rice, fried meehon, lamb, beef, chicken, squid, mixed vegetables, nasi lemak...........

The beef noodle served here is really nice and worth a try

The dessert sure was a disappointment. The cakes were lame and the water melons were pale. The honey dew was also virtually tasteless.

The salad bar here also had very little choice and not worth for me to show. I been told, the people of Sibu don't take a lot of salad. They mainly concentrate on the main dishes, which explain why the dessert and salad bar were below par.

By the way, the ambience of the restaurant at this hotel is quite good with wifi facility available

Yo borneo, RM18 is considered cheap. But the selection of food there is like roadside type, especially those fried variety of noodles etc. But you can't go wrong with the proce though.

Interesting to see the food in the buffet for me, not quite like Swedish food even though we have all kind of international dishes nowadays :-)
