Random Photos Around Penang

Just a brief introduction to Penang. I shall post detailed photos and description in my future post.

George Town's UNESCO World Heritage Site status is in jeopardy now. The crisis centres on the building of four high rise hotels in the heritage core and buffer zone which violate the guidelines approved by the World Heritage Committee. Let's keep our finger cross the city will able to maintain its UNESCO World Heritage status

Komtar building and the shopping complex

Traders Hotel which is linked to the KOMTAR shopping complex

Royal Malaysian Custom office at Weld Quay.

Spot a restaurant at Weld Quay with the name "Weld Quay (Tree Shade) Seafood Restaurant". This restaurant virtually been constructed below this tree, hence the name of the restaurant derived from this scene.

The best about Georgetown is in its old building, shop houses and structures which are rich in their historical values. Georgetown is best explored by just walking.

I like Penang, it's a relaxing place surrounded by the sea. Also lots of nice food and big shopping malls.

I heard a good news last night. If I am right, we can fly direct from SG to KL and Penang via budget airlines! Horray! no longer dominated by the damn ex Malaysia and SQ.
