Putrajaya Monorail Suspension Bridge

Putrajaya Monorail Suspension Bridge stick up like a sore thumb across the Putrajaya Lake. The bridge is supposed to link Putrajaya Sentral to The Core island by monorail until the project was halted in 2004.

The suspension bridge reminds me of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol with its engineering design.

I had my doubt on its current structural integrity as it has been abandoned close to a decade now without any sign of proper maintenance.

I would definitely like to see a monorail run through this bridge in the future as Putrajaya definitely in a dire need for an efficient transport system, not only for the residents here but also for the tourists.

I do hope that the government will allocate budget to continue the monorail project in Putrajaya soonest. Putrajaya would be more exciting if people could travel and move from one place to another using monorail. The monorail is convinient due to connected with Putrajaya Sentral. Once the monorail is put in place, then more activities will take place in Putrajaya. Furthermore, the government should take into consideration on the increase price of building material and maintenance cost of the project that was abandoned for 9 years. They should not wait until the population grow, if the mode of transportation is improve, then definitely the population will increase.
