While driving my way to Batu Ferringhi, I came across a mosque in Tanjung Bungah which caught my attention.
The mosque is the latest attractions of Tanjung Bungah besides its wonderful beach. It is a floating mosque and was completed in 2005. Every Friday a lot of people would come from far away to pray in this floating mosque.
This mosque had seen some miracles in the past as the local believe there was divine intervention as the mosque remain intact after the 2008 tsunami onslaught on this shore.
Just next to this mosque is the quarters built by the government for the victims of the 2008 tsunami disaster which washed away their home.
At the base of the mosque, I spotted some crabs and trapped fish on its muddy shore
Fishing boats are still present around the shore line which suggest the resident here still depend on the sea for their livelihood.
