Melawati Hill Mound

The mound is located on Bukit Melawati approximately 120m from the Batu Hampar and built during the era of Sultan Ibrahim from earth measuring 20 x 20 feet.

There is a huge angsana trees which is believed to be more than 200 years old.

This mound was built with two objectives, namely as a platform for the Sultan to rest while entertaining people who were involved in cock fighting. The second objective was to have a storage area for the safekeeping of government property at that time. It is believed that there was a door to a cave hidden underneath the mound where the assets of the treasury were kept.
