Weld Quay Seafood Restaurant

My search for seafood restaurant while in Georgetown, Penang landed me at Weld Quay Seafood Restaurant.

It is located just right opposite Weld Quay bus station for those who are taking the ferry ride from the mainland. There is a distinctive tree right outside its main entrance.

Fresh seafood and vegetables are been displayed for the customers to choose. All one need to do is to point at the food and describe how it is to be cooked.

The seating area is located at a separate area from the open kitchen (on the other side). Visitor will have an option to dine in an air conditioner room or not.

Before the main dishes arrived, the restaurant will serve crackers and curry as a starter. I believe one should dip the cracker into the curry and eat it.

The amazing part of this restaurant is the ordered food came to our table pretty fast. I must say within 5 minutes or so.

Some of the signature dishes of this restaurant are the salad prawn and curry fish. Simply delicious and worth trying. The curry fish is just nice to go with the rice.

The bill at the end of the day worked out to be RM55 for 2 person. Sound pretty reasonable as we ordered like 5 dishes. Anyway, this is a decent seafood restaurant in Georgetown but I'm sure there are better one out there yet to be explored.
