Paddy Field @ 1 Utama

After visiting various shopping malls in the Klang valley, the best Hari Raya decoration must goes to 1 Utama as its concept caught my attention and returns to the roots of the celebration.

The management has transformed the Oval Wing concourse into a paddy field for the celebration. The paddy field will be around until September 16.

Real paddy, sourced from Sekinchan were used in the recreation of the field. There are fresh, dried and burned paddy around here

The public can touch and feel the paddy grain in its raw form and take photos of the field which is surrounded by areca palms.

In order to enhanced the kampung atmosphere, wooden bridge has been constructed together with actual manual harvesting tools and rice processing equipment.

Kraftangan Malaysia also held a series of public workshop such as batik painting.

At certain intervals, tradition dances will be the highlight of the centre stage. The best part is when they invite the public to join the dance.

Traditional kampung routine and game were also shown so the public will have a glimpse of the traditional life back in the kampung
