Putrajaya Sailing Week

Another event that took place last weekend in Putrajaya besides the Flower and Garden Festival was the Putrajaya Sailing Week.

The event was held at Putrajaya Sports Complex at Precinct 6. There weren't much crowd here as compared to the recent Dragon Boat Competition.

The sailing week is aiming to prepare the contestants for the Monsoon Cup in Terengganu.

This was the amphibious marine craft for the rescue operation by the organiser. There is a stretcher which is attached to it.

A few side events were also held around the complex such as these board games to keep the children entertained.

These are actually a remote controlled sail. I believe this was not part of the competition.

With unpredictable wind here yesterday, the contestants definitely had a hard time steer their sail to the intended destination or spot.

Radio Controlled Sailboat was part of the competition. there were 2 classes/categories: IOM - International One Meter and Seawind Class. This year was the 3rd year organized by Sailing Putrajaya.
