Putrajaya Landmark

Putrajaya Landmark is the first landmark in Putrajaya where the site of federal administrative centre was established in 1995 by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

It is located in Putra Perdana Park in Precinct 1 which happens to be the highest point in that precinct. One should able to locate it when taking the largest roundabout in Putrajaya

The structure resembles a wizard's hat rolled from tinfoil. It is actually not made of solid steel as I expected in the first place. It seems to have a hollow in it when I tap on the structure.

The Putrajaya Landmark marks the beginning of Putrajaya with its time capsule embedded somewhere within structure or surrounding area.

Landmark Plaza is landscaped with trees and water fountains. This place is actually a nice place to unwind here as there are hardly any visitors around here.

To get here, take the nadi putra bus and stop at the Government Building Parcel D bus stop. Cross the main road from there and walk up the hill. It should be about 10 minutes walk.
