There is a war memorial located in the vicinity of the Ipoh Railway Station park. To be exact, it is just in front of The Majestic Station Hotel.

The memorial site is made up of solid stone slabs. It is very likely that this memorial was erected by the British during the colonial era to commemorate their soldiers who were stationed in Perak who gave their lives during the World War II.

This bronze plaque kind of confirmed my first assessment that the memorial is a dedication for the British soldiers during World War II

After Malaysia gained independence, a new plaques were added to the memorial to pay homage to the brave men of Perak who fell in World War I & II. The members of the armed forces, police and civilians are also not forgotten; who sacrificed their lives protecting the nation during the Malayan Emergency (Darurat), Indonesian Confrontation and The Re-Insurgency Period.
this is nice place. will go again this December and this time with all my family.
