Taman Awam Miri

Taman Awam Miri literally means "Miri Public Park" is located about 3km away from Miri city along the Miri-Bintulu Road.

Entrance to the park is free. The observatory platform here takes the shape of the oil well, which is synonymous with Miri city. Unfortunately, the observation platform was closed (probably under repair) in my last visit here.

Canteen is available here. I reckon most of the stalls here open at night.

The highlight of the park here will be the flora garden and the suspension bridge

Children playground at the park. Adults should not try to play here or the guard on duty will issue a stern waning

Reflexology path

The children water playground is another highlight of this park. Definitely a good place to chill out on a hot day.

Thanks for sharing. I've been to Miri enroute to Brunei but didn't get to venture much.

I didn't know that, usually everyone is allowed access. Did you get a stern warning then?

I'd like to take a leisurely walk over the suspension bridge. Nice view.

Wow Chang Yee, the suspension bridge looking quiet long and I guess the view from it must be nice. The pool also looking pretty well maintain. However, I'm curios why the park seen so empty with people?

The park was empty as we were there at 1pm and it was really hot. It should be crowded during weekend and late evening
