Coconut Beer

Anyone try mixing coconut with a beer before? Well, I tried this many times for the last couple of years after been introduce to this concoction by a friend of mine from Singapore.

Just poor the beer into the freshly opened coconut. Any beer will do, be it Tsingtao, Tiger, Heineken or Carlsberg. It is best served cold. Add ice cubes if required.

Here is the final product. The beer is diluted and hence the light golden colour. I guess I'm the only one taking this drink in my hometown as a lot of people and even the shop owners raise their eye brows when seeing me drinking coconut and beer this way.

The drink is simply refreshing. There are hardly any beer smell residue in the mouth after finishing the drink. Hence, a good way to enjoy beer without been detected by wife, parents or girlfriend :)

that's is coconut soda... haha, or shandy!

Is just mixing up to get taste, beer is bitter so I guess it balance with the coconut sweet smell.

In west M'sia, they do mix Todi (coconut liquor) + Guinness. So I bet coconut + beer should not be a problem, as long as u enjoy it.

Cheers!
