Lanang Bridge

Lanang Bridge has been the missing link in term of road transportation for Sibu town for decades before the completion of the bridge a couple of years ago. With its completion, travel from Sibu to Sarikei, Bintangor, Sri Aman, Betong, Lubok Antu, Serian and Kuching is much more easier now. Long gone were the long queue at the ferry terminal to get across the Rejang River.

Recently, I manage to cycle to the Bridge to have a close up inspection of the bridge. It took me about 20 minutes to reach here by cycling from Sibu town

Some of the view from underneath the bridge. Unfortunately, the bridge lack of architecture creativity and appear a bit dull.

The bridge basically consists of 4 lanes with a concrete divider in between. The road is pretty smooth and not bumpy. It is a favourite place for the drivers to speed along the bridge.

I had no idea of the exact length of the bridge but it took me 15 minutes to walk across to the other side

One annoying thing is toll will be collected when crossing the bridge from either way. RM1 for motorcycle, RM3 for small vehicle and RM5 for bigger vehicle if I remember correctly.

Next, I will showcase the surrounding view around the bridge

The bridge is long and wide. You must have seen the wide diversity of beautiful scenery along the way while riding on your bicycle. :)
