Red Dragon Shuttlecock Review

We came across this Red Dragon badminton shuttlecock from a vendor and decide to give it a try. A tube of this shuttle cost RM34. With the current branded shuttlecock like RSL, YONEX and Protech had sky rocketed, there is a need to go for a cheaper option without sacrificing the performance of the shuttlecock.

Strangely enough, there is no indication on the tube where the shuttlecocks were made from but we suspect it was made in China

The green Red Dragon sticker on the base of the cock. Do some maths and one of this cost about RM2.80. This shuttlecock present a strong gum smell, indicating it might be using a cheaper gum to manufacture it. I just hope it is not health hazard

Here is the outcome of the shuttlecock after one match (15 points system). The feathers still remain intact. On average it will last one and a half match. Will be lucky if it even made it to second match.

I was indeed surprise with the result, given the cheap price we got it in the first place. It's flight performance and durability almost match those of the branded shuttlecock we usually played with.

One should try to hit this shuttlecock carefully as we found out it went out of the court pretty easily especially at the base line during our game.
