The crisis centres on the building of four high rise hotels in the heritage core and buffer zone which violate the guidelines approved by the World Heritage Committee. Spot a restaurant at Weld Quay with the name "Weld Quay (Tree Shade) Seafood Restaurant". This restaurant virtually been constructed below this tree, hence the name of the restaurant derived from this scene.

The best about Georgetown is in its old building, shop houses and structures which are rich in their historical values. Georgetown is best explored by just walking.
